Pandiman Philippines, Inc., a shipping and Protection & Indemnity (P&I) organization, has been operating in the country for thirty five (35) years and is still growing. Pandiman is a correspondent in the Philippines for the majority of the P&I Associations (or Clubs) of the International Group. The company is located in Intramuros, Manila.
Guided at all times by each Club’s respective Book of Rules, Pandiman assits Clubs and Members in the following areas:
a. Crew repatriation due to illness or injury and the close monitoring of repatriates’ medical treatment in the Philippines (Personal Injury Claims)
b. Crew deserters
c. Stowaways, both Filipino and other nationals
d. Accident to stevedores and passengers
e. Collision, fire and explosion
f. Damage to/by the ship or to fixed and floating objects
g. Oil pollution
h. Fines and smuggling
i. Cargo Claims
j. Cargo – preloading/loading and discharge/on passage
k. Ship arrest, mutiny
l. Towage and salvage, wreck removal
The offices of the Aquila Group of Companies were located on the second and third floors of the former Philippine Veterans Bank Building until the property was acquired by Aquila Resources and Holdings Inc., the holding company of the Aquila Group, on year 2010 and now, it is known as the Pandiman Building, occupying the entire three-storey structure. The building is located on General Luna Street in Intramuros, which as its name denotes, is a walled city and is in the oldest and most historical part of Metro Manila most.
Pandiman is a correspondent in the Philippines for the majority of the P & I Associations (or clubs) of the International Group. Our ninety-five member staff includes teams of personal injury and marine claims executives well experienced in their respective fields.
Pandiman’s location is well suited for its purpose, being in Manila’s dockland and close to the offices of the majority of those registered manning agents involved in the hiring of Filipino crew for many of the world’s ocean going vessels. Also in the area are the Bureau of Immigration, the Department of Labor and Employment, the Philippine Ports Authority and the Coast Guard, to name but a few of the Government bodies with whom Pandiman maintains close contact and whose authority and cooperation have a vital effect upon P & I related matters.
Pandiman’s daily routine necessitates close liaison with the government arms most closely involved with the manning industry of the Philippines, namely the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC)., AMOSUP, National Conciliation & Mediation Board (NCMB) of the Department of Labour & Employment (DOLE); Regular Trial Court (RTC); Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
