I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides nursing care to injured or ill workers, monitors employees’ health & wellness and administer over the counter medications as needed.

In the absence of a physician, assesses and determines the health status of the employees which includes recommendations such as, but not limited to: staying in the clinic, sending home/back to work, or transferring to hospital.

Participates in health maintenance examination, if a physician is not available, to perform work activities which are within the scope allowed by the nursing profession, and if more extensive examinations are needed, to refer the same to a physician.

In coordination with company physicians and as a core member of Occupational Safety and Health committee, creates and conducts occupational health programs based on Philippine Occupational Safety & Health Standards such as Pre-employment, Annual Physical Examination, Immunization Program, Health Education and Counseling, and whatever will be required by the OSH-DOLE & DOH in the future.

Participates in the maintenance of occupational health and safety by giving suggestions in the improvement of working environment affecting the health and well-being of the workers.

Maintains a reporting and records system, prepares and submits an annual medical report (DOLE) to the employer, as required by the standards.

Handles all clinic related records in accordance to Data Privacy Act.

Implements wellness programs based on DOH standards, health awareness activities to address company’s top illnesses & current health issues/seasonal illnesses.

Periodically makes inventories of medical & clinic supplies, orders replenishment when necessary, and provides recommendation on new supplies needed for improvement of clinic services.

Maintains clinic cleanliness and orderliness based on the standards.

Assists third party health providers from scheduling to services payment.

Monitors and prepares report of service performance feedback.

II. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in occupational health and safety in an industrial setting

Eligibility: 1. Must be a Philippine Registered Nurse (PHRN)

2. Preferably BOSH trained with updated BLS and First Aid Training
